Hello everyone! I became a member here after getting selected by my units sniper section! I'm so exited! I really want a jump on School so I am in need of a good PT program tailored specifically to the US ARMY's Sniper School. Anybody have any advice? Thanks in Advance.

Excellent fitness is important but more important is the fitness between your ears.
It will certainly help to be in excellent shape, as it is one thing you can control, but you should be there already. I would think the Ranger PFT would be a good baseline.
Run with a weight vest or weighted ruck, pushups for days, pull ups and abdominals.

Im assuming your active duty army, I would get ahold of some rangers and pt with em for three weeks youll be ready physically but the mental part you cannot prep for no matter what. You will be pushed to your limits.

If you can pass a pt test you will be fine, you'll probably gave to move 5-8 miles with a pretty heavy ruck akso.
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm definitely passing the PT tests but I'm not in good enough shape I feel. I've became a little more lax once I became a dad. I'm not active duty Frogman either, I'm in the National Guard. I'm looking more for a good program maybe that is available and If not, I am going to look for a personal trainer that can advise me on what to work on. I'm very exited about this opportunity that has opened up in my career and simply want to go into this strong. I received this opportunity because of my teach-ability. I went to sniper selection and did well but was originally not selected. The section filled four slots and I was told I was number five. After attending Squad designated Marksman Course, I soaked up all I could and managed to learn how to shoot! I was fortunate enough to be top gun of the class and received "distinguished honor graduate". This reached the section and they pulled me into the section the following drill. So, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys.

I believe in the basics and the old fashioned way. I went to alot of physically demanding schools during my military time and if you focus on running and doing ruck marches (both in boots), as well as pushups, situps, pull ups, and basic core strength exercises, you will be just fine. IMO most of it is heart and mind anyhow.
