I wanted to drop by and introduce myself,
I chose the handle PovertyStateArmorer after some friends ragged on me for building a few PSA rifles. Lately, I have been running a PA10 18" in .308. After recently firing my friend's Bergara B14 HMR in 6.5cm I decided to build another PA10 upper with a 22" Criterion barrel in 6.5cm to see how accurate I can get this platform. The journey has been fun and has required a bit of tinkering and understanding of what you can and can't do with the large frame AR platform; tolerance stacking and the lack of standardization other than "DPMS compatible" has kept things interesting.
I had stumbled across this site when doing some research on optics. I am currently looking at comparisons into Arken and Vortex but I think I have settled on acquiring a PST 5-25x50 Gen II. Looking forward to getting the optic mounted up and perhaps begin my long range shooting journey at the 1000 yard range down the road. Any wisdom to a novice in this area of shooting is always appreciated. Please feel free to poke fun at my equipment selections and bash them and I will listen as to what I can do better!
