Just getting into long range, though unfortunately picked a bad time to do it (ammo and all being what it is).

Been shooting pistols and rifles (AR) for 6ish years now, and wanted to really be able to go ring some steel at 1k yards as well.

Jumped in with an RPR/Vortex PST 5-25 in 6.5 creedmoor, have a local range that gets out to 1300 I can get access to and will do so once it warms up a wee bit. Excited to jump in with both feet and get practice under my belt.

Planning on it. Looking forward to doing some PRS stuff as well, since I do pistol competitions locally for fun as well, and it drives me to get better. Goal is to hit 1k yards fairly consistently by years end, then jump into competitions next year.

If you can make a good trigger press without disturbing the sights at speed with a pistol you can make a good trigger press on a rifle. The rest is just math.
Difference is being slightly off might be a foot at 1k yards, but being an inch off at 5 doesn't matter for scoring on an a zone. Point is well taken though.

Rpr trigger also feels pretty nice, I'm sure there are better out there, but it's crisp
