Douchebag Private throwing one of those stick grenades the Cheenas have been using since the Korean War.
Now I see why they went to all that effort to dig such a big, sophisticated hole just to throw grenades.

Here we also had U shaped holes with sloped bottom into drop pit on the right side for all those unfortunate epic fails not to become Epic...

As we (at the time i did my time

) had conscript army there were cases where people had frozen (even with new spoon safety grenades - before with old hissing ones even more people did which in the case of a fused grenade can be rather unfortunate) and in some really rare cases fubared the throw and grenade usually landed in ditch rolling down into this pit...

Or worse. A male in China that is unsuitable for the military has no future there, and is a "useless eater". the best he can hope for is permanent transfer to Tibet, or life in the bottom of a coal mine shaft.
