I recently ordered a set of medium TPS rings and when I opened the box I originally thought they looked more like high rings rather than mediums. I mounted the scope and relized that I was correct due to the amount of clearance between the bell and barrel. Long story short, turns out that TPS has sent out rings labled medium when in fact that are highs. How many have been sent out I don't know, but I am having trouble finding theses rings anywhere else and am leaning towards getting a different set of rings. I really liked these rings and want to find something similar but don't want to spend over $100. Any suggestions?

Re: Good Ring Alternative

They came from SWFA and ALL of thier rings labled medium are highs. They are going to refund me the money and I am not saying anything bad about them because I have always been happy with SWFA but I just don't want to wait for them to get it all lined out. I just don't want to risk getting the wrong size rings again from anyone else so that's why I am looking for something else.

Re: Good Ring Alternative

Again, have you called TPS directly to see if they will swap you?

Sure SWFA will refund your money, they are a good company, but the FU is TPS's, not SWFA's. If you are set on buying TPS rings, call TPS and see.

If not there are other brands that are better than TPS, like Seekins or Badger Ord.

Re: Good Ring Alternative

What actual height in inches did you order and what actual height in inches did you receive?

TPS's mediums are pretty high. Are you going off of what you were expecting or are you going off what you measured?

Re: Good Ring Alternative

No I have not personally talked to anyone at TPS and the rings have already been sent back to SWFA so it's too late to do any swapping. I'm not stuck on TPS, in fact I would like to get a better set of rings since I am going through all this anyways. I know Seekins and BO are good... any other suggestions?

Re: Good Ring Alternative

Cool, just asking. 1.2 something to centerline on the highs, and 1.07 on the meds is correct. I was just asking, because TPS's run high, and some folks order without really checking.

If not TPS, I'd go BO or Seekins. Are Acculok's still in production?
