Gordon-ish Setup with OCM5 Question

Does anyone here have experience with the Ops Inc style collar system?

I'm putting together a Gordon-type, and I wanted to run this BOM by someone before I start accumulating parts:

H&R C7 Upper Black
Criterion HYBRID 12.5" Barrel
Non-F marked FSB, .750"
OPS INC™ MK12 MOD ? SPR Collar... long or short? Is it just aesthetic? I think short.
Ops Inc Brake - LONG (AE just dropped a helpful video on this and I prefer shims to time)

I want it to be setup like the 9-hole Reviews Gordon vs clone correct with the 3 piece collar... and even though I'm using the lightweight OCM5, I'm not sensitive to barrel weight and prefer a more rigid, heavier barrel for anything that gets a suppressor on the end.

I think the collar requires .750, and the Criterion has that at the gas block... but it steps down slightly- is this a NO GO?

Otter Creek Labs makes an M4 collar that indexes off the step down just before muzzle, they also have a OTB muzzle device that is all in one.

Oh, I know about the OCL OTB mount... I'm just trying to get something like the image.

I sort of confused myself more earlier in the week by looking at the D. Wilson collars...

Are these for a LW profile? The first one says it's .725" / .700"

Variety is the spice of life.

I have a large and important collection, but no Mk 12 or Gordon. I have an OCM5 here and nothing to host it.

That barrel won't work. The step down indexes inside the collar. You'd need an SPR profile barrel to be made for the ops collar to work.

Like Trigger Monkey said above, the OTB or Collar from Otter Creek is the best bet.

I love the Criterion CORE series, but If I bought that one and it didn't work for this Gordon, it would have turned into another weapon!

Have AEM make it,or buy the blank version and have a gunsmith fit it. There is also a 3 piece collar out there that fits regular barrels, I’ve seen them

Man I would really consider the 3 piece collar, the spr or m4 one will leave you with a gap between the back of the can and the fsb and you know it's all about aesthetics. Black ankle sells turnkey barrels but I think they are all gov profile

If you insist on a not retarded barrel profile I believe centurion mid weights have the gov profile after the gas journal that you could use a 3 piece or m4 collar on.
