I have the older GI Gen I's because these were a bit out of my budget at the time. Cousin wears the Tru-Spec's in Multicam and I find them to be about the same in durability, but the TruSpec has a better fit, feel and movement.
I believe the TruSpec is the same base material as the GI ECWCS with a DINTEX membrane instead of Gore-Tex, I believe it is more flexable and resistant to rips than Gore from what I hear, but I have no torture tests to reference.
As for size, you should be good to go, I wear Large Long and I'm usually about 34x34 but these will give you plenty of length and they have a draw string for the waist. </div></div>
Awesome, thank you for the great info. I'm typically a 34x34 as well so I ordered the large long in OD from the link you provided. I will report back how they look when I receive them.
