Got Tikka T3x A1

Hey gang, I will post more after I get her to the range. But, I have been wanting one of these for awhile and picked one up yesterday. I got one with the 20 inch barrel in .308 I know most people seem to get the 6.5 CM but I did this for several reasons. One, I already have alot of .308 ammo. two, I like the 20" barrel and most importantly, I moved to FL where there are almost NO long ranges to shoot at. I have to drive about 2 hrs just to get to a 600 yd range. So, I only have access to a 200 yd range close to me. I am not sure there is even a 1,000 yd range withing prob. 4-5 hrs of me. So, the 6.5 seems like it would never get stretched out. When I move I will likely get one.
I have not been able to shoot it yet but I have some FGMM and Horn. 178's and several hand loads I will try and see what it likes.

Any other .308 owners out there can tell me what they prefer for loads with theirs? I will post a range update next week.

Congrats! You’ll love it! I’m probably going to sell mine. Just don’t like the ergos as much as I’d hoped. That said I’ve owned many Tikkas and they all shot very well. The 308 guns I had ran Hornady Superformance very well

Awesome- I already have some 155 Lapua's loaded up I used in my AI rifle, so maybe it will like those too!

I got her out today and it is as awesome as I had hoped. I tried some Prime 175's, Horn. 178 Super Perf., Horn 168 TAP, Cooper Creek 175 and Fed. Gold Medal 168's. It shoot everything around .6" at 100 yds but liked the Federal the most! right at .4" 5 rd group. It may like the 168's, so I may order some Prime 168 to test out but the Federal cannot be beat and really 1/2 gun is all I can hope for and it is that for sure!
