My company, Texas Combat Shooters has leased the operating rights to Jacob's Plain Gun Club located 10 miles northeast of Greenville, TX. This property is 250 acres and currently has 7 bermed tactical bays with bleachers, a complete western "town" for the cowboy action shooters, and a 200 yard rifle range. The range is currently open on the weekends but is used very little and the property has been badly neglected for the last 3 years. It is need of a lot of mowing, cleaning, and painting. This range was once a premier shooting facility in North Texas and I look forward to returning it to that condition. It has almost unlimited potential but it needs some TLC from TCS.

I am looking for volunteers to come down this Saturday 10/5 to help mow, weed eat, paint, and do very minor carpentry work on the many shooting props that are on the property. I know this is short notice but we have a regional cowboy action match coming up mid-month and I really want the range to be safe, clean and ready for our cowboy action shooters. Please contact me to let me know you are coming and I will make sure that each volunteer receives lunch, and free shooting time after the cleanup, and credit towards entry fees at a future TCS event. I plan on working from about 9am-1pm and then all the volunteers can spend the afternoon shooting. This is a tactical range where drawing from the holster is allowed!

The range location is 6734 FM 118 Greenville, TX 75401. From I-30 you go north about 12 minutes on FM 118 to get to the range. I would guess you are looking at about 40 minutes from Rockwall.

Please contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions or would like to donate paint, deck screws or plywood to assist in the refurbishing of the facility. Thanks in advance for your help.
