Figured I would share my stock project, started out as a grayboe renegade, and I added everything I wanted, kmw loggerhead cheek hardware, Devcon texturing, flush cups, Devcon bedding, and a krylon gap camo job. it ended up turning out better than I had imagined, I did have to bed it twice, I tried wrapping with tape the first time and where I had ground out around 1/8" off the factory inlet the electrical tape squeezed the sides in, i ground everything out a little and basically skim bedded it the second time and it shoots better now than ever.

straight out of box

nerve racking taking a new stock to the band saw, but turned out ok, and I knew I was painting and had Devcon to fix any mistakes. I used a dremel with a side cutting bit for the inletting, worked a lot better than I expected.

That is awesome. It looks very professionally done.

I found the Grayboe to be extremely easy to work with. I cut my stock with a coping saw, but if I had to do it over again, scroll saw or even a band saw would be what I use.

thanks, that was my thoughts too, as long as you cut it reasonably close Devcon will hide the rest. I had originally planned on smoothing the bottom out by sanding, coating with Devcon, then sanding again, and then coating the top with Devcon and taping it up with wax paper in between for a perfect fit, but I ended up just coating both sides and smoothing then down. it fits real good together, not perfect, but I'm never going to have it down close enough for anybody to tell lol

You've got me really considering doing it to mine lol. Would have to use a coping saw though as I don't have access to a band saw. With your camo, what color did you use for your base coat? The more I look at yours the more impressed I am.

It looks like no color overlaps black so if I had to take a guess, I'd say black was the first layer used.

it's actually dark brown instead of black, krylon camo, that was the first layer, then I believe dark green, light green, and tan last. the tan was krylon camo, dark green was aerovoe, and light green was rustoleum camo, then went over the whole thing with a krylon matte clear

I didn't get any pictures of that, but just cut out the shapes, paint stock one color, place 5 or 6 stickers on, paint whole stock another color, 5 or 6 more stickers, paint whole stock another color, then peel off all the stickers, just a bunch of layers basically

Yep, I converted a Greyboe long action over to left hand. I put the magpul DBM in the stock, it fit almost perfectly. All i had to do was open up the area where the front action screw is, as the Magpul was a little tight there. Other than that it fit perfectly. I will try and get some pics of it to post up.
