Hi,

My handle is AtomicRust, I'm 32 years old from North Germany.
Been shooting small arms since 2015 and just got into Long Range and will have a go at the just starting PRS Scence in Germany.
Was reading and lurking for a while and thaugt I could step out of my visiting and be a part of this.

welcome , from delaware here . Just wondering what the shooting scene is like in Germany ? are there a lot of ranges to choose from ?

@acudaowner:
Thank you for your welcome.
We have in nearly every village a range.
But these are ranges for the "Schützentum" these Clubs are old, sometimes they exist for 150 years, the oldest one is 175, and have their roots in the middle age. They mostly shoot .22 rifles at 50 meters or airguns.
Some have big bore shooting, for big bore rifles the ranges are mostly 100m some 300m and very rare are longer.
I only know of one PRS Match in South Germany, the one i would like to attend is in Demark on the Borris Coldborerange.
Hope this short summary gives you a little insight :)

Thank you and defenitly not doing that.

Doesnt hurt to ask.

There is a member on the M40Rifle.Com forum from Germany that has built himself a very nice clone of a USMC M40A5. Im not familiar with your laws but I do know there is a rich shooting history.

I hope that you are able to get what you need for gear without having to mortgage the homestead to do so.

Pictures of some of these old ranges please. When I do see European ranges they tend to be very nice in either facility or surroundings.
