Hi, I'm Steve, and newly interested in long-range shooting. I'm retired Army and still work for DoD. I look forward to learning from the community and won't be posting much at all. Thanks for having me.

Gentlemen, appreciate it. This site has quite the (positive) reputation. I'm a long-time contributor over at Lightfighter, and some folks there made mention of the learning here, so I thought I should join.

By the way, the longest shot I ever put on target, was a bit over 2500 yards, and the optical magnification was only 10x... But that was from a stabilized platform, while stationary, against a stationary target, using a fire control system that accounted for gravitational pull on the gun barrel, ammunition temperature, crosswind, from the TC's position, etc. Since then, I have rarely shot out past 300 meters.
