Advanced Marksmanship Grip pressure and shoulder pressure for offhand?

Re: Grip pressure and shoulder pressure for offhand?

I place my firing hand high on the pistol grip with a firm handshake grip. My trigger finger rests naturally on the trigger. The proper placement of the firing hand on the grip allows for the trigger finger to be pulled to the rear without disturbing sight alignment. I bring the stock to my head and the butt of the stock rests in the pocket formed in the shoulder.

OP,

To avoid the bump fire that Bolt alluded to, follow-through, keeping the trigger depressed until recoil has subsided. Bump or double fires, as they're sometimes called, are not as likely with standard AR triggers as they are with match triggers, but nevertheless, a loose grip is generally the source for such a wardrobe malfunction.
