Maggie’s Gun store thread MAD LIBs !!!

I'm sure i am not alone in noticing a pattern in many of the gun store tales of ignorance we hear. Here's a quick and easy template for creating your own tale of delivering comeuppance to ignorant gun store customers and employees.

I was in my local gun store to/for ______________ (insert qualifying reason for your being there, examples: "buying their 'cheap' ammo" or "just using the shitter"). There was also a _____________ (insert cliche' source of ignorance, examples: teenager, hood rats, mall ninja). The clerk and/or cliche' were engaging in sub-standard conversation and drawing several incorrect conclusions based on my "extensive research" (read: forum trolling/lurking). I become unreasonably upset by aforementioned ignorance and take it to a personal level. I make a derisive comment and am _____________ (told to leave/or exit store leaving the offender to not understand my ridicule and think of me as a rude asshole). This is the chronicle of the experience that may or may not have occurred but is being presented to you now in the vain hope of gaining any amount of admiration or positive validation.

Oh, but I do. Hence why I haven't been into one for about a decade now.

Part of a VERY short list of why I actually like the internet is for that reason. Click a button, and anything I could possibly want for my firearms shows up on my doorstep 3-5 days later.

Yeah, if only shipping weren't so much I would buy everything online as well, especially since most of the time the prices are high in my local store.

Re: Gun store thread MAD LIBs !!!

I guess I am fortunate here in central OK to have Gene Sears Supply. As cheap or cheaper than any internet place, they have everything, and the staff is more knowledgeable than anyone around.

Re: Gun store thread MAD LIBs !!!

And what's the deal with every Pawh Shop opening up nowadays, being a SOT/3 dealer? I mean, if they can't answer a basic question about jewelery, why dabble in NFA?

Shipping is a small price to pay to avoid the likes of say, Maser, drooling over the High Point on the reject rack. I am fortunate here in that the manager/owner of my favorite gun shop has no qualms about banning idiots from his store.

Re: Gun store thread MAD LIBs !!!

Yup, CA is a bad place to look for intelligent gun shop employees. My local one is pretty bad. If you don't already know what you're looking for, they can NOT help you. I see way too much of that nonsense. Not just gun shops either but pretty much everywhere. Isn't it just common sense to at least know about the things you're trying to sell?
