I am not at all happy with the way sales are made these days on gunbroker.
This past spring, I sold a rifle, seller did not pay (we even exchanged phone calls, I talked with his boss who was the FFL) and nothing. Spent a month fooling with the attempted sale after the successful bid was made.
Gunbroker charged me for the sale and it took moving heaven and earth to get them to reimburse the sales tax they charged me for the sale. To get that back I had to relist the rifle so , to avoid any further muck ups, I priced it beyond a reasonable value. (Added a few more items to make it sound kinda legit)
My thoughts, forget online sales or purchases of firearms. If I sell it, it’s either gonna be face to face with a citizen of the state I live in or it’s going on consignment at a trusted local gun shop. I suspect, I am pretty much through purchasing firearms. (Unless I convince Brenda to get a nice PRS style rimfire rifle.)
