Bit of an oddball question here but I figure you guys can help.

I have a tacsol owyhee takedown. I BELIEVE the barrel is pretty much a 10/22 barrel with one extra extractor groove cut in it.

I also have an integrally suppressed tacsol 10/22 takedown barrel.

I want to first make sure the owyhee can take the barrel and if so I'd like to get an the extra extractor groove cut in the barrel... hopefully resulting in a bitchin integrally suppressed owyhee!

Thoughts or suggestions on who could knock this outta the park?

Have never handled an Owyhee, but I will give you warning to verify dimensions of the barrel tenon of both before actually doing any cutting. Holding the barrel tenons against each other breech to shoulder will give an easy visual of differences.
If they are the same and the diameter and mounting are the same go for it👍
I would highly recommend carefully screening your machinist.

Thanks for the reply and advice!

Yeah, my guy here is no longer working unfortunately and I've not found a replacement yet.

On a positive note someone on reddit apparently got this done lol. Not sure if credible or not, but is the only other info I've seen.

Why in the hell tacsol doesn't just sell a nice integral barrel for the owyhee is beyond me. Seems like the perfect platform, better for suppression and precison than their 10/22 xring setup for which they DO sell such a barrel.

You are probably better off getting a used barrel. Search for a 572 parts kit on Gunbroker. “Gunbusters” sells a ton of parts kits from confiscated guns.

Some are junk, some are crazy priced, but the occasional gem.
