I have a Winchester M-70 Classic Stainless Sporter (Mauser-style CRF) that needs a little work and I was wondering if there was a good 'smith in NE Ohio that you'd recommend. The gun is a general-purpose rifle for hunting and plinking. It's not a "tactical" rifle, but I want high-quality work. You never know when a gun might have to be pressed into service and I want it to work correctly. I am hoping there's someone nearby I can use. I'm a bit East of Cleveland.
I would like to have:
1. An aftermarket laminated stock action-bedded and recoil pad installed
2. Williams new 1-piece bottom metal unit installed (will require minor stock fitting/inletting)
3. Fit new Williams extractor
4. Clean up the factory trigger and set to a crisp 3 lbs
5. Install scope on 2 piece base
Thanks
