Actually a pretty cool concept with the integrally suppressed barrel. As usual with Gunwerks you are paying through the nose (and perhaps other unnamed openings) for the coolness.

Was looking at the Gunwerks product page and saw that the integrally suppressed barrel is by a company called Suppressed Weapon Systems. Looks like they do these integrally suppressed barrels not only for bolt action rifles, but other guns as well (e.g. CZ Scorpion EVO, AR-15 uppers, etc.).

Not sure what makes the Gunwerks one $13k expensive. IF I really wanted this integrally suppressed barrel setup, why not bypass Gunwerks and do this option instead from SWS.

Yeah but that’s heavy as hell and doesn’t have all of the load development, scope, kit etc that comes with a gw rifle that also helps justify the expense.

Now thats a good question. I would assume that like a normal silencer, if the serial number is on the outer sleeve and not damaged, that you can change/repair the internal guts so long as you dont change the exit opening diameter of it.

Also a good point, I use my rifles most to hunt but I enjoy shooting in the off season and have shot my hunting barrels out. Just bring up a point of concern when considering 13K on a gun.
I am sure Gunwerks will sell whatever they produce, the demo they market to can certainly afford it and to your point most of that demographic will probably never need a barrel swap.

I wonder what the effective length of the barrel is (i.e. where the rifling ends). Seems like it would be awfully short.

For the Gunwerks Lite Sabr, product page says the overall barrel length is 22 inches (14 inches of rifling and 8 inches of suppressor).
