Hand stop vs vertical grip

From what I understand:

> 26” OAL pistol (example: 12.5” barelled AR15 with a Shockwave pistol brace) = vertical grip, defined as an AOW (any other weapon)

< 26” OAL pistol = angled fore grip / handstop as this is a “pistol” and not an AOW.

Any standard rifle (> 16” barrel) can use either.

You know... because logic...

I have always thought vertical ment vertical. Handstop being more of a “nub” or basically something too small to constitute as a handle (and not an angled grip). So my BCM short vertical grip (https://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM...-Mod-3-KeyMod-Black-p/bcm-vg-km-mod-3-blk.htm) on my AR is a vertical grip whereas their KAG (https://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCMGUNFIGHTER-KAG-1913-Picatinny-Rail-Version-p/bcm-kag-1913-blk.htm) is an angled grip and the Magpul handstop (https://www.magpul.com/products/m-lok-hand-stop-kit) is a handstop.

All just how I personally view it.
