This new article tells us we have way TOO MUCH GROUNDWATER and it's a contributing factor in causing land to sink and the seas to rise by at least 3.2 ft by the year 2100. That old deceiver satan is hard at work...

Considering that the earth is 251095680 inches (3963 miles because fuck metric) in radius, a difference of 31 would be a .0000001 change. (.00001%--Yes I counted).

The speedup was 1.8 millionths of a second

or .0000018 seconds

For comparison if you shot off that amount at 1000 yards your hit would be off by 4/1000 of an inch.

Actually IIRC they calculated the impact 3 gorges dam had on earth rotation. It was small but measurable... (cause we are like really good at measuring mostly). reminder your GPS has to take into account relativistic corrections--so its an insane level accuracy. And jus tbecause it can be measured, doesn't mean it has an "impact"

Even were the day 1 second longer (and most of this stuff is in the millionths of a second) that is a 0.001 PERCENT change. So the percent change from these things is more like 0.00000001.

Its what we nerds call "Zero" unless you are a math major. But fuck those guys too.
