Harris Bipod #9 Adapter?

So, I picked up a Harris BRM-S tonight, but noticed the profile looks better suited to a round stock, versus my Bergara HMR stock. In the booklet that came with it, it says to get a #9 adapter. Will that make a noticeable difference? I haven't shot off it yet, just thought I'd see if anyone had any experience with it. Thanks!

They do make a noticeable difference but are kind of an unsightly accessory.
I bought one years ago when a tried to use my Harris that I had always used on sporter hunting rifle stocks on a flat bottomed target stock.

Most nowadays are primarily for the pic rail or m-loc set up but I still like having a couple of bipods that attach to a swivel stud for my sporter stocks.
