Does anyone have experience with the Hawkins Precision 3 Port Muzzle Brake? I have a custom 28 Nosler on order throated for the 195 Berger EOL. The brake is low profile and light weight but I want to make sure the recoil reduction is sufficient for my setup. The rifle will weigh ~9.5 lbs, or less, with scope and primarily be used for hunting. Thanks in advance!

I had one installed one my 300 win mag. I am pretty happy with it. I am shooting 200 grain accubonds out of the rifle and the recoil is comfortable. The gun also weighs in around 11 pounds. There are better breaks out there like the apa fat bastard, pva rocket scientist and muzzle break and more.
I like the Hawkins because it is able to be blended to the barrel contour.

Thanks for the reply. I think I’m going to stick with the Hawkins because the main purpose of the gun is Elk hunting in the mountains (Colorado if I can get a tag this year!) and the brake blended with the barrel will be nice so it doesn’t get snagged on foliage. Not sure that makes a huge difference but it does in my mind anyways!

That funny you say that. I built mine for elk hunt here in Washington and Colorado. My buddy owns some property up by delta.
That was my main reason for going with the Hawkins brake as well. Also hard to betthe price in them.
