I am always struggling with bumping shoulders on brass, I've seen lots of videos (like Eric cortina's) about using your rifle and using bolt close to test.

So my dumb question--if I am doing g this with an AI I just pull the striker assembly?

AI has a plunger ejector, so even if you take the striker assy out the plunger will load the bolt.

Take 5 fired cases remove the primers and measure the shoulder to base using a bump gauge, average the 5 measurements.
When you resize the brass you should be .001-.002 less using the same bump gauge to measure.
