With the rules possibly changing I decided to order a couple cans from Tbac for my boys. I called up my dealer and told him what I wanted and he's gonna run it by them to see if it's a go or not. I ordered custom serial numbers with their names and birth year.

While I'm waiting to hear the verdict, I figured I would ask on here if anyone knew of any rules the ATF has for serial numbers. Is there anything that they would be apposed to as long as the numbers aren't already used?

I don't see why it would be a problem. I have had manufacturers give me requested #'s on firearms and I have done homebuilt Form 1's with my serial #'s. Easiest is to call Tbac and talk to them. They are great guys up there!

Thanks Zak. The longest one is 12 characters. The other is 7. If its a length problem the longer number can go on the longer can. As far as I know they aren't charging me extra for the special numbers.

Form 3 approved today! One step closer!

My dealer actually filed my form 4s right after the efile system shut down. I guess that gives me a little jump on that part of the wait too
