Is there a significant advantage to the area 419 sidewinder vs the hellfire on a 300 mag? I have a suppressor adapter for the hellfire, and wouldn't mind sticking with it on the .300 mag if performance of the smaller 3 port brake is adequate.

I just put the Hellfire on a 300WM build I just did and it works fine. If you want to be safe, you could just by the match Hellfire version.

I was told by area 419 that at the short magnum point the sidewinder starts working better between the two.
It does one hell of a job taming down my 338 edge

I’m sure the hellfire still helps a 300 considerably and since you want to maintain compatibility I’d probably go with the hellfire without complaints.

I've ran both on a 300wm and IMO I liked the performance of the sidewinder better. I eventually switched back to the Hellfire due to mostly supressed shooting. If I were not swapping a can around I would stick with the sidewinder. As a side note, when I reached out to A419 to ask if it would be worth running the Hellfire Match vs the regular Hellfire on a 300wm since they use the same adapter, I was told "Go with the Match, it's really really good." 🤷‍♂️
