Hi guys! I've been scouring the site for a few weeks for information and thought I'd sign up and say "hello!" Some of the precision shooters over at CalGuns.net referred me to this site as a good definitive community for learning precision rifle.
I'm new to precision rifles and have been trying to soak up as much information as I can. I'll try to contribute what I can, but I'll be asking more questions than giving opinions and answers.
I'm in the middle of compiling parts for my first bolt action, so I'm sure I'll have lots of questions about various parts and manufacturers. I've started with a Remington 700 VTR in .308 and replaced the stock with an HS Precision take-off from a 5R. I have a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 EBR-1 ready to be mounted. I have some miscellaneous gun parts and supplies that I'm trying to sell or trade over at CalGuns to fund a scope base, rings, Timney trigger and bipod.
In any case, I hope you guys don't mind me picking your brains!
