Hello from Canada

Hey SH folks,

New member from Canada - West Coast - so only the semi frozen and perpetually damp North. I like long walks on the beach, and hiking through the woods. Also shooting guns.

I'm currently shooting a Remington 700 SPS in a Magpul Hunter chassis in 6.5 creedmoor at 100 and 200 meters until the snow in the mountains clears out, and then I'm hoping to stretch my legs out. I've got a trip planned in May to get out to 1000m. I'm loading my own and carry some factory match ammo to use as a comparator to my handloads. I'm previously mildly experienced in loading my own, but haven't got much beyond finding a useful load that works well at 200m, making bulk ammo for the AR; and I haven't ever chrony'd my loads. Both of which I'll need to change to get my summer plans working.

I've had a few other bolt guns and semi autos in the past (mostly AR15 pattern rifles) but thanks to our current ruling elite, we can't shoot ARs and they're on the chopping block if nothing changes. I still need to shoot though, so handgun and rem 700 it is for now.

So I'll be spending most of my time in the Bolt Guns forum and the Reloading forum.
