Hello from North Va

hi all

im located in northern Virginia, and a member of the SH scout site so new to the "original". Still a newbie to the long range but def like it. I now load for all pistol calibers I run, and .308win but looking to get into 6.5 Grendel as well. Thanks for having me!

Welcome. I live in Loudoun Couty myself. Look up Peacemaker National Training Center. They have the best opportunities for long range shooting in our area.

Good on all accounts, but consider the .260 Rem instead. If 260 brass gets scarce, 7-08 and .243 can be necked down or up to get you up and running again; maybe not so much alternative for the 6.5CM. Been shooting .260 since 2001, and using HDY 7-08 bras for the last two years.

Life has its little twists, and we probably never see them coming or consider their stealthy approach. Last year this time, I was lamenting the gun law idiocy of my local NY. Today, I live in the Arizona high desert, and wonder why it took me so long to get off the dime. Night and day doesn't even come close.

Those people who embrace the suck in NY, expecting it to change, are living out the literal definition of insanity. Move on....

That applies identical to other states, not at all unlike yours.
