Welcome to the Hide. It is a great site, one I have learned a ton from. Without this site, I would have been lost in missing target land, failing at every attempt.

We have monthly matches for all types of shooting, be it from short range to long range. We also have pistol and 3 Gun gun matches at the same location: Western Nevada Pistol League
It would be great if you guys could show up to any of the matches. I personally only shoot at the Long Range Varmint silhouette matches usually on the 2nd Saturday of every month. But I am going to miss the upcoming match this Saturday since I am preparing for the Sniper's Hide Cup in a couple of weeks. I have learned so much from that match alone. Do not be afraid or concerned about shooting at those matches. It is a positive atmosphere that looks to teach people. It is not all super serious.
Meanwhile, I shoot behind my house in the desert, a favored position. Square ranges really suck and I cannot stand shooting around the public anymore.

Thanks I've been really wanting to enter just have to find the time off to do it. It makes it little easier knowing it's a got a great environment.
i would definitely be interested that sounds fun and a good place to meet likeminded shooters as well... i was pondering the idea of going to the SHC but am nowhere near ready, i JUST got my rifles put together and am still doing load development probably next year though

Yeah I'm by no means an expert but still a learner by trial and error. It's good knowing there's others out there. As often as I go to Reno I'm going to have to come check it out. On the other days I prefer trying to get away from the annoyances of crowded ranges. Really wanting to get some steel targets and in Winnemucca we have a bunch of open range to set up something somewhere to get all the practice needed to hang with all you guys.
