Well, I finally picked something up meant for longer range. A Ruger M77 Mark II in .223. Well, actually it's my dad's old rig that he hasn't used in a while so I'm using it while I save up for something of my own.
I plan on upgrading his scope (unless this one turns out to be better than I thought). There is a Tasco fixed power on it, but the front lens is adjustable for clarity.
The .223 is cheap enough to get started on. And the longest range around me 300 meters anyway.
So, here's to learning something new (long range techniques)!
