Training Courses Hellsgate Tactical Precision Rifle PHX, AZ 7 OCT

This will be held at the 1000 yard range at Ben Avery in Phoenix. It is meant for beginning to intermediate long range shooters as we only have the range for one day. Chip Wildridge is the instructor who was a Marine Scout/Sniper and Recon. He has a wealth of knowledge on the subject. It will be a great opportunity to test systems out to 1000 yards with an excellent coach. Cost of class is $150 for the entire day.

...this is the info I'm looking for:

"TRAINING CLASSES

All Classes you must be a US Citizen, 18yrs old unless accompanied by an adult.

Register for Training Here

CHECK OUT OUR STUDENT REVIEWS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE!!!

1 Day Courses- cost $150
Our 1 Day courses cover various different topics concerning Long Range shooting, these topics are usually complex in information or set up such as PDA usage, in which users must have the correct infomation entered.  Or a skill set that can't be glossed over such as range estimation or hold overs and hold unders, students can not just shoot these skills one time and become proficient.  The following are 1 day classes that are offered at a reasonable cost and provide students with lots of information and range time.

PDA programs, set up, usage, and range lab

Range Estimation and UKD shooting

Hold overs/unders

Positional Shooting supported and unsupported positions

Engaging moving targets (If you have range facilities with pitts and would like for us to come to your range facility to conduct this training, please contact us to schedule training.)"

I'd like to attend, but before I drive over from SoCal I'd like to know what the focus is.

ANGLICO Marine

I'm sorry I haven't responded to your post. I forgot to check in and see if there were any questions. I'm not the one teaching the classes but I have been going over the syllabus with Chip and this is what we are planning right now.

8 Fundamentals of marksmanship
Proper Form
Malfunction Drills
Scope set up and adjustment
10 Yard zero
25 yard zero
100 yard zero
400 yard ballistic DOPE
Record weather data and input information into PDA for a drop chart
600 yard no wind zero
800 yard DOPE
1000 yard DOPE if time permits
Return to 600 yard berm for wind reading exercise if/when the wind picks up

This is a rifle clinic so the course of instruction will be adjusted according to the level of the students. Right now all of the students signed up are beginners. This will be a fun class to get people started in long range shooting with an experienced sniper by their side. If there are any shooters who want to go that are more experienced then we will break the groups up so we don't bore the more advanced guys to death. In which case a better shooter would be there for practice with the benefit of Chip as a coach.

Ben Avery does have pits and I am trying to get permission to do movers there. I should know for sure by next Monday. As of now we won't be able to use movers though.
If you would like to call Chip and ask him questions directly you can send me a PM and I will get you in touch with him.
