Does anyone know what model smith this might be?
Up for auction with no description other than double action smith.

Looks like a S&W 1917 Army model in .45 ACP that has been after market plated. Cool guns, but I wouldn't pay too much for it. It's in shooter condition, not collectible condition. Edges have been rounded during over-polishing - should have Property of US Army under the ejector rod housing and on the bottom of the grip frame. Trigger and hammer should be case colored. There should also be a hole for the lanyard loop on the bottom of the grip frame. But they are a fun, big bore shooter.
