Rifle Scopes Help me choose optics

Alright guys, I have a $1000 budget for optics. Just bought my first bolt action (Sig STR 970) and now need to but glass on it. Prefer to buy used, as I hate paying retail. Let me know what you recommend, and if youve got something to sell, let me know as well! Looking to buy in the next week or so.

also, will mostly be hunting pig with the rifle, but really want something for long range shooting as well in case I get bit by the bug.

I'd put a used Nightforce NXS 3-15x50 on it, they can be found in the classifieds here for $1150 to $1300 depending on the deal, a great value and just a hair above your budget.

Leupold vx-III long range or a Mark 4 are both great choices for new optics.

For your price range a Luepold MK4 4.5-14 would work well and there are some in the sale area. If you could save a little more, the night force would be better.

Nice, but I wouldn't want a fixed 10x for pig hunting.

jasonk- would that be more ideal for me than the one listed in the classifieds for 200 more with zero stop? Also, what is the benefit of zero stop? Sorry for my ignorance, I have only ever dealy with tactical sights such as Accupoints, eotechs etc.
