Ok, This post is mainly to get me through the next 8+ months of wait for the paper form 4's to get through the system. It will also help me to decide what brakes to order for what rifles in preparation. I have 3 new suppressors in the works:

Silencer Saker 7.62
Silencerco Harvester
TBAC 30CB9

I have the following hosts that each of these could go on:

Scar 16 (use this for coyotes)
Scar 17
Larue OBR 5.56
Larue OBR 7.62
Custom .260 precision AR (match rifle)
Custom .260 Precision Bolt (match rifle)
Savage 223 bolt (use for prairie dogs)
.300 BLK SBR 8" barrel (used for freedom!)

My question is what hosts would you use on each suppressor and why?

I too have a cb9 in waiting. Papers went in last week, let the waiting begin. I might just drive down to Griffin and order a 22 can to pass the time. Not that it will help any lol.

I'll play:

Scar 16 (use this for coyotes):Saker 762/ Harvester
Scar 17: Saker 762
Larue OBR 5.56: Saker 762 (5.56 end cap)/TBAC
Larue OBR 7.62: TBAC (unless you run and gun, then Saker)
Custom .260 precision AR (match rifle): TBAC
Custom .260 Precision Bolt (match rifle): TBAC
Savage 223 bolt (use for prairie dogs): TBAC
.300 BLK SBR 8" barrel (used for freedom!): Saker 762

Basically I would use the Saker 762 for all the heavy duty lifting. I would also get the 5.56 end cap for use on the 5.56 guns. The TBAC would be saved for all the match/comp rifles where the string of fire will be less and accuracy and poi shift are the most important. Unfortunately I wouldn't use the Harvester for anything except on a hunting rifle where weight is the biggest concern.

The 300 blk could go either Saker 7.62 or TBAC. The TBAC, may be quieter, but I would keep the OAL shorter by using the Saker.

Edit to add: the 223 bolt action could go all 3. The Saker with the 5.56 end cap would be pretty quiet while keeping the OAL down, the TBAC is arguably more durable then the Harvester for larger strings of fire, but the Harvester will be the lightest.

The Harvester was used by several of the top scoring competitors at the Gap/Bushnell match this year.

Its already been proven that exclusive hunting usage is depriving the Harvester/Bigbore of its capabilities.

Dispelling the myth of the "fragile" Silencerco H…: Dispelling the myth of the "fragile" Silencerco Harvester - YouTube

I've seen that video before. It also doesn't prove anything in my opinion. Just because it didn't blow up on screen didn't mean the blast baffle didn't take a nice hit.

I am in no ways saying the Harvester is a fragile can (it's rated to 10 rounds a minute which is still a lot for most applications), but I would rather see before and after photos of it being ran through a 500-700 carbine class instead of one mag dump where they don't even show the blast baffle afterwards.

I just don't know how the muzzle brake would hold up to any torture. Looks to me that if you were doing any sort of transitioning, and you dropped the rifle or hit something while running, it would be prone to bullet strikes at the end. I have looked everywhere for any information concerning this, but have found nothing, Googlefoo being what it is...
