I haven't been able to find any load data for the S&W 500 special cartridge.

Its the same as the .500 magnum cartridge but about .25 inches shorter. a very pleasant load for the beast for plinking.

I'm not sure if it takes large rifle primers like the magnum cases either. And i would like to use H110 in them.

Don't get me wrong, i love shooting the big stuff too.
Please advise.

Re: HELP!!! S&W 500 SPECIAL LOAD DATA

I have been using 16.5 grains of Tightgroup with very good results in a regular magnum case & a 325gr lead bullet. It is very accurate and very mild with enough power for anything a 44mag can handle.

I don't have it on hand but I think I loaded 11 grains of tightgroup with sierra 350gr HPs, very mild load, I think its like the minimum listed load. Still potent enough to punch thru a popper at 50 yards.
