We at TNVC, like many others, have loved ones that are personally affected by cancer. It is a disease that takes many forms and affects millions of Americans. Everyone knows someone who has been touched by this horrible affliction. At TNVC, the battle is personal, as it is with many others. Those that are battling cancer are in the fight of their lives every day. They have no deployments, no rotations, and no shifts. They fight every second of every minute of every day. By our definition, that makes them warriors. And it is in honor of these brave women in our lives that we have designed the “For the Girls” Pink Ribbon Patch. Each patch is Velcro-backed so it can be attached to your tactical gear as a reminder to continue the fight no matter what. TNVC donates all proceeds to the American Cancer Society for cancer research to help find a cure. Wear the Pink Ribbon as a symbol of strength, devotion, and love for those you care about. Carry them with you and show support for the most noble battle of all. This is a fight we can win.

These patches are available on our website now. http://www.tnvc.com/shop/pink-ribbon-patch-for-cancer-research/

We are not making a dime off this promotion. All proceeds are donated straight to the American Cancer Society. Thanks for your help!

Re: Help TNVC fight Cancer

Couldn't think of a worse (corrupt) charity to donate to, that is other than the Susan B Koman group...

"American Cancer Society spent only 26 percent of its national multibillion-dollar budget on actual medical research, allotting the other three-fourths to “operating expenses.” In 2005, the Phoenix New Times reported that the Arizona branch of the organization spent a gasp-inducing 95 percent on overhead costs, leaving cancer victims “only the crumbs.” At the Arizona branch, the nonprofit spends 22 times as much on paying employees, maintaining the offices, and keeping the coffee machine running than on the cancer victims they are supposedly aiming to save."

Great cause though. Why not take the money and donate it directly to somebody with cancer or something to that effect. It would be far more useful than paying somebody's salary.

+1, HB. A noble cause, but I agree...paying 75% to desk geeks pisses me off.

Re: Help TNVC fight Cancer

very touchy subject and lots of opinions out there. I remember when I worked for United Airlines and they would force us to have payroll deductions for the United Way. that is not done any more, but Myself and many others would bitch and moan about how corrupt the United Way and many others were and we should not have to give to them if we did not want to. now after many disasters world wide much fact has come out about lots of organizations that take money and pocket 90 plus percent for salarys and deep pockets of non deserving and very little gets to were they say it is going. I think the American Cancer Society falls right in there also. I my self have gone thru cancer and hopefully have it all behind me. I have strong feelings about how and who to donate to and would not give one penny to any of them. I have many bills related to cancer surgery and mine went very smoothly and my bills are really small compared to most. I can pay my bills, and agree with the above remark, if you can give, give to a family or person who cant pay thier over bearing medicle bills and could use a helping hand with them. let them put it to good use and make a difference in thier life. the not for profit corporate greed is out of control, to bad 100 percent cant go to the real cause and cure.
