Has anyone here attached one of the Accushot sling swivel mountable monopods to the buttstock QD sling swivel of their Bergara B-14 HMR ? If so what model ? I'm wanting to combine it with my Atlas BT46-LW17 PSR bipod and I'm debating between the BT01-QK Standard Height 3.5" - 4.65" and the BT04-QK Standard Height 3.75" - 4.75". I'm looking for the best functionality combo here not just on the bench but also in the prone, and not just on the range but also in the field. Does anyone have any experience utilizing any of these combinations yet? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Just found out the sling swivel monopods won't work with the HMR because of the stock not having a traditional angle but being pretty much horizontal, so I'll go with mounting a pic rail and the rail mounted standard version monopod instead. Case closed!

If this is any help I bought an Accushot off the classifieds here. Not sure exactly which model (can check tomorrow if you want) but was able to get it on my HMR’s stud. Now, whether its on correctly and 100% functional I’m not sure as I’m monopod illiterate. It’s a little bulky and doesn’t fold quickly in order to get rifle in a case. I guess it does it’s job but I’m gonna check out a pump pillow.

Seems to work as I had envisioned it, however after exchanging e-mails with a gentleman from Accu-Shot I ordered the standard height version that requires the two point attachment pic rail, hopefully it will work because there is only one sling swivel stud and a hole for another screw will have to be drilled. I was a little apprehensive about ordering that one not just because of the drilling but because the buttstock bottom is neither flat but curved, nor is it straight but it angles slightly on both sides of the stud. We'll see, hopefully it will work. Yours is looking good though. have you used the quick adjust button on the bottom part of the monopod? I found these YouTube videos about the sling swivel monopod, which is the version you have, but none on the pic rail kind I ordered based on advice.

I hooked up one of Accu-Shots Picatinny rails and went with the BT12-QK. Rock solid with my Atlas PSR and folds away neatly and can even be used as a bag rider if I'd still want to use a bag.

No apology needed. I got the front rail after I posted. I with with the atlas bt17.

i think you're looking for something that uses the sling mount, because your stock isn't angled enough, correct?

i am not sure if we are supposed to link to other online retailers, but if you look on midway for this, it might be what you need, or something like it.

or this amazon item if you don't have a slot in the butt stock?

What rails did you use for the front and back?
The front rail is the BT17, the back is the BT34. The front required no mods, the back had to be centered as the sling stud hole would have been off. Filled in the sling stud hole and had to drill two new holes and used Loctite for the screws. Pretty much as solid as any other solution. I outfitted the BT12-QK monopod with a BT43 leveraged rail for QD functionality. I also got some polymer ladder rail covers in case I want to detach monopod and bipod and use bags, so I won't tear up the bags with the recoil. I hope this helps.

    Hi all,

My name is Tim, I live north of Houston, TX a bit - nice to meet you all. I'm an old Army Desert Storm Vet and love long range shooting. I too have a Bergara B-14 HMR in 6.5 Creedoor with a Vortex scope and Atlas Bi-Pod and have been reading all the post. I too desired a buttstock monopod. My buttstock at the sling mount is rounded. So, I've taken a gamble and ordered one of Altlas's sling mount monopods. We'll see how it works when it arrives. If it don't work on my HMR I'll put it on my Savage 30-06 or one of my other hunting rifles. I guess it's trial and error - but I'm sure I'll use it either way. If I have to buy a pic rail and have it drilled I will, but lets see how this works first.
