HELP!!! With AICS Stock

Hey everyone, I 'm trying to remove the extended spigot piece on the front of my AICS. Don't need it and it will cut about a pound of the weight of it. I have it down to getting the 1/4" roll pin punched out and the front sling swivel out, but it appears that the sling loop bracket must be removed before the spigot will slide out?

Problem is, it won't pound through and there doesn't appear to be any other way to remove it?

please help!?

Pull the block forward using the bipod if it is a little stiff then just push the sling loop out, the bottom sling point will fall out when you remove the roll pin.
