Hey guys thanks for all the help on the questions i ask, i have another one for you ar enthusiasts. i took my new ar out shooting yesterday, bushmaster lower, dti upper 30 rd polymag from promag. the first clip ran just fine, the 2nd clip gave me 4 ftf and failed to eject 9 rounds. i stopped trying, i swithed to my little brothers p mags and 20 rounds perfect, tried again and it gave me the first 3 rounds ftf and wouldnt eject the next 4 that did fire. the bcg didnt seem dirty at all, are the ars lube hogs? or where should i even start?

Re: help with ar needed again lol.

First off an AR uses a magazine not a clip. A magazine has a spring a clip does not.

As for your rifles issue...what ammo are you using? Is it a fixed stock or a collapsable? Barrel length?

Re: help with ar needed again lol.

i tried ppc 55 gr from local store and ultramax 62 grain from store, ace skeleton fixed stock, 16" dti upper, and a 20" bushmaster v match upper. all the same results.

Re: help with ar needed again lol.

Flip a coin, front to back or back to front. Tails so we will go back to front.

Check your rear end lol. Ensure that the buffer retaining post is not bent or otherwise damaged to prevent the smooth rearward travel of your BCG. If thats all GTG check out your buffer and ensure its the correct one as well as your spring.

Re: help with ar needed again lol.

Did you re-try the two magazines that ran properly? From the way you described it, I doubt that it is a magazine issue since it happened the same way with 2 different mag types; but don't overlook anything.

lmao but piston pete would have went on about how he had the same issue 40 years ago when he started his spec ops missions, and then would have turned this thread into a complete waste of everyone elses time.
