Im getting ready to cut the foam in my pelican. This is my rough draft. I'm gonna let it sit overnight so I can think about it. Any suggestions on how I have things layed out?

I agree with Rob. I would put the extra mag behind the butt of the rifle or up by the bolt to leave room for other gear later, also a good idea to have a spot for a cleaning rod.

Your layout is very similar to what I have done. My mags are laid down rather than standing up. This way in each cut out, the mags can be double stacked without having to cut into the upper or lower foam. Same with the bipod. If you leave it attached, it will put deeper indentions in the upper and lower foam. Here is a few of my layouts. The top two are complete. The bottom has not been cut yet in the pic.

Might think about sliding the gun to the far left side of the case just in case you ever re-barrel and go longer.
