Looks like a model 75, just can't figure out what it goes on. Also have a rear sight that folds. This was in my deceased father-in-laws stuff.

    Thanks,

    Keith

I am wondering if it is for one of the cheaper Remington 22 bolt actions with the round receiver. It is definately made for a round receiver. Most lever guns have flat sided receivers.

Most if not all the "cheap" peep sight guns....like the 550-1P or 510P or 41P....the rear sight is stamped metal and a simple aperature.

That Redfield sight is indicative that it probably wasn't a cheap gun. And that the contour of the mounting portion might be indicative of the block it attaches to not necessarily the reciever shape.

This site is not cooperating with my phone so seeing the full image of your sight is a pain.View attachment 7034688View attachment 7034689
