I'm new to reloading and anxious to dig in. I've purchased many standard bullets such as Sierra MK for my 338 Lapua and the formulas are pretty straight forward, but when is comes to the turned brass bullets I'm unsure. I purchased 245 gr brass bullets due to the extremely high BC and the velocities that can be reached. Having no lead, the bullet itself is longer and I'm worried that a reloading charge for a standard ~250 gr bullet would now be a compressed load and have much high pressures. Expert opinions on this will be highly appreciated!

For your situation I would just seat the bullets at the lands or jammed and use less powder and get similar pressures as loading Mac load. And play with charges seated at the lands while checking for hi pressure signs.
