Rifle Scopes Hensoldt warranty work

[SPECR]

I have a Hensoldt 4-16x56 that has a damaged windage turret. I've been trying to get it repaired through Zeiss Sport Optics to no avail. I was told that they are unable to get parts or send scopes to Germany due to Customs. It's hard to believe that with such a high priced piece of glass, you're out of luck.

Can anyone advised me on what to do?

Kahles USA shipped a scope to Austria and back for repairs 2 years ago. No problems. It took a while but they fixed it free of charge and it was a non warranty repair. I bought it off of Auction arms and the front objective was shattered.Listed as in excellent condition. The douche bag I bought it from refused a refund. I asked Kahles to repair it on my dime. Came back no charge. I could not believe it. I sent them a very lengthy thank you letter.

Nathan should be able to help you or point you in the right direction, but the stuff Sport Optics told you is true. They are in limbo with their import/export paperwork. When HDC was still handling the commercial sales of Hensoldt we had no problems getting stuff sent back to Germany. Nathan would be your best bet though, he is th VP of Zeiss Optronics

i contacted one of my guys there, same story. so the options are;

1.wait until they get the permits squared away

2. i'll put you in touch with some of the hensoldt guys in germany

just let me know, i'll do my best to help you

Update... Zeiss Germany took care of my repair needs. 4 weeks after sending it FedEx, I received it back in almost factory new condition. Props to Zeiss for the excellent support. I just hope they sort out their ITAR issues so others don't have to send their repair needs to the factory overseas.
