hi all
been meaning to get into long range shooting for quite a while, and now finally getting my act together and have joined the NRA here in the u.k and have applied for my fac.
went to register on here and realised i've been a member since 2010 lol. a bit about myself, been married for 17 years and have three great boys aged 15, 11 and 9. my eldest boy has also joined the nra and we have a healthy bit of competition between us, and to be honest he is quite a natural shooter and i have to have my eye in to keep up, but all done in good spirit, and some good bonding time away from everyday work commitments. im a mechanical engineer by trade for the last 26 years and love building anything firearm related in my lunch breaks etc. have been shooting shotguns for a few years, mainly clays and wildfowling. have got deposits on a jm stamped marlin 1894 in .44 mag (quite rare the old ones over here), and a tikka t3 varmint stainless in 6.5 x 55 swede which should get us out to 1000yrds. currently starting a new project for the tikka which will be a chassis system and based on the cheytac m200 intervention and will feed off of aics long action mags. here are a couple of pics at its very early stages and still loads to do but will start a new thread when i get more done. love the site and so much info to take in.
