New member here, and completely new to distance shooting! I've been shooting for years, but primarily carbines out to (at the most) 400yds. I always wanted to shoot distance, but being from New England there was pretty limited usage given the terrain and lack of distance at clubs/ranges. I moved to Vegas 4 years ago for work, and started pushing the ARs I have out a bit further. Decided to jump into the long gun game earlier this year and went with a 20S in 308. I'll be snagging a 6.5CM barrel later this year when they drop, and plan to build a bolt gun in the next year or two once I get a handle on things. I'm not a member anywhere out here (was a 3 month member at Desert Sportsman back in 2015), but have a friend with plenty of land that I'll be able to go out to 1000yrds and beyond.
