Hi, been lurking about this site a few years, decided to sign up and try to expand my knowledge on all things shooting somewhat..I hunt and fish , my hunting is mainly fox and red deer with some wild goats thrown in, I also spend a lot of time whacking grey crows with my 223 or 243 from some distance.
I spend a lot of time long range shooting, mostly 600. 800 and 1000 yard stuff with my savage 12 f/tr in 308 along with a few of my buddies. I also do some pistol shooting but my main interest is in rifle shooting, so hoping to pick up some stuff from you guys!

Where in Ireland are you from? I love the country but had no idea anyone there cared about precision shooting! Some damn beautiful spots you have there to shoot in, that is for sure!

Welcome Welcome Welcome!

I live for the most part in Donegal but have property in County Derry in the North, so enjoy the best of both worlds in regards to shooting, I can reload in northern Ireland and shoot pistols quite freely in clubs but hunt in the southern part for Deer.
There has been a growth in precision shooting here this last decade or so since the calibre restriction was relaxed , we have one long range target club in the midlands of Ireland who now take part in international shoots..we even had team USA over here a year or two ago shooting for the creedmore cup..which you guys won by the way!

Ive been interested in precision shooting and along with a few buddies we shoot every weekend in the hills of donegal where we have the scope to get out to 1250 yards, we use savage f/trs and sako TRGs in 308 calibre..with worked up loads.
Ill stick up some pics of our shooting spots sometime..
