I've made an app called "Hide on the Range" that works with Chuck's IOTA (which is a scope attachment that lets you focus on a close distance - 10' or so). It simulates targets being at range precisely enough that it can be used to practice mil-dot ranging as well as just for dry fire. It does this by using the size of the screen and the distance of the screen from your eye.
It also has a timed dot drill based on lowlight's drill here on the hide.
It runs both in a web browser and on iOS devices, though I'm not putting it on the app store. I will be distributing it adhoc for testing however, the info is on my site. It's beta software.
I only took up long range shooting last year, and reading the hide plus signing up for the online training has made a huge difference in my shooting and my knowledge. I wanted to try to contribute something back so the app is free and will stay free. Hopefully some of you will find it useful.
I'm open to ideas, in the future I plan to add movers and maybe a bit of a situational simulation.
My site is misterouchie.com, go there to try the app. I also have some other stuff up related to mil-dot ranging.
