I am not a doctor, nothing near the medical field and I agree with this letter. We cannot let the gummint tie the hands of doctors with the worship of sodomy and other heathen practices.
COVID-19 is just another flu. I have had it. Lasted less than 5 days with basically a Z pack. I have seriously felt worse with common cold and pneumonia.
In fact, the common cold is in the coronavirus family, no shit.
The most lethal strains are gone, as it happens. The host dies too fast for that version to mutate and replicate. The other less fatal mutations do not kill the host and live long enough to mutate and migrate. Like the common cold.
Parents need to know when their children are seeking to kill a baby or lop off tits or a dick. Period, paragraph, end of book, forever, amen.

All I can says is that you guys know where I stand on this, but I am no longer practicing. Sadly, because I have publicly voiced my opinion, I likely could not return to patient care even if I wanted to. For physicians to be blocked from speaking their honest opinions and acting in the what they believed were the best interests for patients, being in essence forced to violate their Hippocratic oath or lose their license, is something I honestly didn't think I would see in my lifetime. Pertains to both COVID and the "gender re-affirming", what I consider gender dysphoria (DSM IV).
Edit: I don't think you will get honest answers from docs still practicing. They might be trying to still act in their patients' best interest, feasible if not in a FP/GP or pediatric environment, but they can't say so on a public forum without repercussion in most states. You simply cannot practice in most states without state licensure and hospital credentialing; both of which administrations have been taken over by the left (or what ever you want to call them). I probably couldn't even get a job in industry despite having strong clinical and laboratory/research backgrounds (and I have been looking).

I am a physician, I was terminated from my job for refusing the vaccine. I agree with the letter and signed it. I am not convinced that it will lead to anything significantly resembling reform and may just be one more tool for the tyrants to use to round up likely dissenters for re-education or repurposing. However, we must exhaust every peaceable means of resistance. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for reminding me, that Biden's mandate applied not only to organizations over 100 employees, but any provider that accepted any patients subsidized with federal funding (i.e. ANY Medicaid/CHIPS and Medicare patients). That broadened the range of which hospitals/practices/groups were affected by the mandates, and remember SCOTUS upheld the mandates for healthcare. Another reason you will see more shortages of physicians.

Thankfully our hospital accepted religious exemptions from its employees and physicians. We would have lost 75 percent of both if not.

I have lived with severe, chronic, neck pain since 6 years old. Having worked as a timber faller and a stone mason, and just in life in general, Ive broken, sprained, torn, etc, damn near every part of my body. Not complaining, Ive enjoyed a lot of it, but fact is I just dont sleep well because of the pain..wake up 3-4 times per night. Rest is important, especially as we age. Im not a sissy...not too much of one anyway, I still do hard work and enjoy it, Planning to Rim2Rim the Grand Canon in the spring.
Ya know what helps me sleep? Narcotics. I have no problem with them. Have a prescription for Dilaudid. I take it when I need it, maybe every couple weeks or month, and leave it alone when I dont. Ive found that used properly, I can carry that lack of pain for a while, kind of relive it without needing to repeat it. Ive only been seriously addicted to two things, nicotine and this smoking hot blond...but thats another story. Trouble is I almost have to fight the fucker for them. The government could take his license if he gives me more than the absolute minimum, even though he knows I can manage them. A lot of this comes from big Pharma, pushing the Oxy's on you physicians (not picking you in particular) to push on Joe Q Public. Gotta hangnail? Oxy. Dick wont get stiff? Oxy. Worried about your taxes? Oxy. I dont remember the exact numbers but in West Virginia a few years ago they prescribed enough Oxy to give every one in the state 100-. I think it was more. Because of that I have trouble getting what really helps me. A trifecta created by pharma, physicians, and gub'mint.
As I see it, nobody knows better than I what works for ME. 100 or so years ago I could go to the pharmacy and guy a chunk of opium, or laudanum when y neck really flared up, or grow some poppies in the garden and make my own. People have used the fruit of the poppy and many other plants that are now restricted, for thousands of years. Now, because of money, big brother says no.
I understand that many cant (handle them) and should never get near narcotics. Some should never drink alcohol. But the few suffer for the sins of others.

My hospital attempted to mandate the vaccine. But the majority of the staff held out and on the day of the deadline they reversed course. Because 80% of the staff would have walked out.
I could do with out the Nuremberg trials where politicians will l never be held responsible for there part in using our tax dollars to create a virus to kill off people , then make us pay again through more tax dollars for a cure that does shit all . I want them all to pay for the hundreds of millions of people killed all around the world by there bug and the whole over reaching grab for power that they neither deserve nor know how to handle . a Gelding of sorts to put them back in there place would be great . and maybe keep them in check for a couple of years ( I doubt it but it's worth a try ) .

You are more forgiving than me. They deserve what they gave, a slow painful death.
It won’t have any effect on the flu, but many docs will give it for people to take, especially towards the end of the flu or even after to ward off infection since it’s common for a lot of people to either get pneumonia or a sinus infection after fighting off the flu.
And this is why we are on Gen 6 I think of antibiotics. Because doctors give them for zero reason other than feels.......

Perhaps. But it’s pretty common for a lot of people to develop pneumonia after a bout with the flu and Covid. In fact, many of those that initially became so ill with Covid wasn’t necessarily because the virus was that bad, it was more because the people that had it weren’t receiving appropriate care.
Who gets to decide what is decent? I don’t feel as if many governments of the world behave responsibly either but...

I understand this very well too. In my practice I prescribed narcotics very sparingly, but what I thought was appropriate when needed. The prescription of controlled substances for acute and even chronic pain management is dictated in many regions by "CDC guidelines". This was probably a foreboding of what was to come with pandemic management. Ironically, the person who started off much of the prescribing limits was Leanna Wen, the same CNN "consultant" doctor whom initially pushed punishing the unvaccinated by suggesting their access to public areas, hospitals and even medical attention be limited. Studies have shown that in the true chronic pain population, less than 1% actually become addicted. Patients used to be able to sue for under-treatment. Dr. Wen took her position as HHS director in Maryland when Baltimore was at the height of its crack epidemic to start the ball rolling on government "guidelines", she was the one who forced chronic pain patients from having access to treatment from their PCP's/GPs and required pain management physicians only to treat patients requiring beyond "X" number days of medicine or treatment with "Y" classification category of controlled substance. I use the term "guidelines" loosely because since adopted and "enhanced" by the CDC; they have been actually have been implemented to threaten board action against established pain-management doctors. Even if doctors believed their prior prescribing practices were "sound" before, most bowed to the new "guidelines" at the hint they could or would be investigated, purely because no one wants a board inquisition - it's the equivalent of asking for a civil lawsuit. Heightening (worsening) of those guidelines in the name of addressing an administration-induced Fentanyl crisis from an open border policy represents another facet of how government evil adversely affects the health management and care of American citizens and removes it from the doctors' judgment to the government's judgment. Last week Congressmen moved to formally place fentanyl in Category 1 (= practically un-prescribable in most clinical scenarios).
my understanding is that people can be subject to bacterial bronchitis in addition to viral infections at the same time, so it can be helpful.
‘Chicken Littles’ need something to be scared about. Now, I got the vax. Then I got covid. Maybe it was less harsh because of the vax. Maybe not. Either way, covid was a nothing burger. The worst part was sitting I bed until a neg test.
Then again, I know a lady whose husband died from covid.
But, both sides should be heard. It can absolutely kill you. But, you can absolutely survive it. If you have a bunch of co-morbidities, you may be at higher risk. If you’re taking ‘better than average’ care of yourself, it may be more like a cold-even a bad cold.

i recently read this book (the hard sell) about how pharma pushed opiates (or any drugs really) and skirted guidelines against over-prescribing, which i guess have contributed to the draconian measures and under-prescribing. things is, people can get fentanyl now anyway...
Some medications do have, for whatever reason, multiple mechanisms of action. Z-packs have been used in some adjunctive protocols initially by the frontline doctors. (Even in documented cases of flu, some patients are susceptible to a secondary bacterial pneumonia or sinusitis.) Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic, not an anti-viral, in its original application. Some antibiotics, specifically in the tetracycline class, have been used for decades by rheumatologists/immunologists/dermatologists for their anti-inflammatory properties. Again, it previously was within a physician's purview to decide which medication could be used to treat a given condition; "standard of care" used to be defined as what similarly trained physicians in your region would consider acceptable or appropriate treatment.

I have an issue that causes severe pain, but only once every month, or two. It can be so bad that I get nausea, sweats and black out. The surgeon suggested biofeedback, when I asked for pain meds. I asked her if she'd ever experienced this issue, first hand and she stated, "No and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but my worst enemy." The government and healthcare has gotten stupid over opiates. Those of us with real pain, can't get relief. I've had a few surgeries and stash the norco, oxycontin, lortab, whatever, for pain I get every few months. It doesn't take much, just 5mg, chewed and the relief is near instant. I actually hate the loopy feeling, but who likes to hurt like that? i mean if an addict is desperate and cut off from pills. it isn't that hard by most accounts. i am pretty sure i can find somebody that knows somebody, and if i couldn't, i would just go somewhere with junkies on the street.
word is now the real junkies don't even want heroin anymore, and they want the good stuff...fentanyl.

Our health system stood to lose 40-60% by the various estimates I was able to gather. Religious exemptions turned out to be fairly straightforward. Of course, someone has already filed a complaint against me for not wearing a mask (after the system lifted the mask mandate for shotted personel). They're shorthanded as it its. I told them relayer of complaint "tell them to fuck off." Haven't heard anything else but DGAF.
I don't think most of you understand the pressure medical people are under. You are not free to speak. You are not free to think. The govt controls healthcare. They control what you can say and do unless you are near retirement or away from large cities.

What if I told you there were never any more fatal strains. Most of the country had already had COVID by "2 weeks to flatten the curve," and that most of the deaths were miss reported due to the death reporting guidance around testing positive for COVID. This guidance also makes it very likely one of the big spikes in "COVID deaths," were actually misreported vaccine deaths reported as un-vaccinated COVID deaths because they were before the "two weeks after the second shot" time period, after which they would be considered "vaccinated."

I get a call, Hay FP, time for a camera up your wazzu again, really 5 years already......great. I go in to see the Dr. same guy that did it last time, and he gives me the normal, this is what is going to happen. I am a "watch" guy, so I always "check out" what is on someones wrist, his was some computer watch that did not interest me, but the band was interesting. It was a We the People watch band. When he was leaving, I say your watch band.....oh he says and pulls his sleeve down a little, and looks a little sheepish.....I really like it. Oh, and his face changed. He says you just never know how people are going to react to that anymore. Told him I wish he was a "regular" Dr. He says he is, oh.....you mean your not just a "butt dr." nope. I am going to change to you, how do I do that. What is wrong with your normal primary, nothing....I just like your stand on things better. He wants to see me for the normal "new guy" stuff I guess they have to do. In June, guess he is busy.
I think there is a market out there for people that use their brains, and stand with their principles. But I do see how I can see the pressure.
My "pain management" Dr I see once every month, pill counts pee in a cup.....guess some hand eye test, not sure. She is still "all in" on this garbage. Masks required. I am "good" in there as she gives me "da good stuff" and without that I crawl into a bottle and self medicate to make the pain stop. Her little magic pills has me out in my shop building a new loft. I can do things and feel like a human. Shame she is blind to it.
They would do well to remember how they were delivered Brexit.

Speaking of medical, because of my age, my doctor put me in a colon cancer study. So, Last November after Thanksgiving I had my first colonoscopy. The worst part was the prep. First dose, I was on the can for almost 3 hours, watching a movie on my laptop. Then a nap and woke up again with the alarm at midnight to drink the other dose and another 3 hours pouring water in one end and out the other. Watched another movie.
Then, another nap. Then woke up at 6 am and got dressed. No coffee or liquids or solids or anything.
You have to have an accomplice, I mean, driver to be with you. So, this is how it worked out. The hospital for the procedure is literally across the street from the skilled nursing facility where my wife lives. So, I parked there. Walked across the street and waited for my old high school friend who still does not live that far from me.
I told him we would have to walk in holding hands and singing "You're the One that I Want" from Grease. Since I am a high tenor, I would sing the part of Sandy.
I was tempted to ask a question during patient prep but did not. "Since I have mostly been in construction for my adult life, can you tell me when you are in? I can't feel it anymore." But I did not. I took the knock-out and took a nap. And woke up in the day room. The doctor brought me some coffee and water. "Do you have any questions, Senor Pendejo?" (Not my real name but it fits here.)
I said, "Yes, did you find Jimmy Hoffa?"
Without cracking a smile, he said, "No, we did not."
My friend drove me across the street and I spent the rest of the day with my wife.
She had COVID recently and so did I. She was isolated in her room but got through it well enough. To her, it felt like a minor cold. For me, it was a scratchy and dry throat, mostly. Some congestion. I have suffered far worse from colds and Influenza A.\
It seems to me like the last few years, they were only counting COVID deaths. Before that, on average, one stat I read was that 60-80,000 people per year in the USA died from flu A or B. But no real counting of it during the hey day of COVID.
I tend to disagree that this was a Chinese military move. I like the theory that someone came up with that the Chinese equivalent of Homer Simpson left that lab one day without proper sterilization protocol and went around the block to the wet market for heaping bowl of freshly made bat soup.
At the place where my wife lives, when they get an outbreak, you have to wear a mask, which won't be 100 percent effective but it makes people feel comfortable. I can fart through two layers of cotton and still stink up the place and get people to crying, so how is a mask supposed to stop a bug smaller than that?

And I am a conservative and I think the AFA is messed up and needs a lot of fixing and it was just a political tool for Obama. So, I am rambling but I don't care. We need to do something about healthcare and complaining about Obama or ACA and slinging piquant bons mot is not actually helping or solving the problem.
