I dont like to purchase many semi auto rifles, but when i do, i prefer them to be high'er quality (/dos equis man voice)

My main question for you all is:

Is there a rifle, that uses *Ak47 Magazines* but isnt an ak47?

Dont get me wrong, AK47's serve their purpose, but its my money, so I DGAF about opinions.

I'm trying to find a rifle that has tight tolerances, and is more quality oriented.

Valmet makes a fine rifle that uses real mags but not standard AK. Israeli Weapons Industries is now making a type of Galil rifle that is 7.62X39 and uses AK mags. The cocking handle is on the left side.

MGI makes a modular AR15 lower with interchangeable magwells. They have one for AK47 magazines. I have not seen any accuracy testing on one but I would say if you built a custom AR15 upper in 7.62x39 with a free floated high end barrel you should be able to get all of the accuracy that the 7.62x39 is capable of giving.

Arsenal SAM-7 series (milled receiver) is an excellent AK rifle and likely the lower cost with the Valmet (.223 or .30) and Galil next inline.

I had a Valmet 76 (.223 and EXPENSIVE mags) and Galil ARM that I sold off and kept my Arsenal SAM-7 AK.

If you like the AK type rifles and would consider one...the Arsenal Inc AK variants are excellent. The feature tight tolerances, the same rugged reliability as the original AKs, use some of the higher quality components available, and feature vastly better accuracy than your run-of-the-mill surplus AK. Both the milled receiver variants and the stamped receiver variants are excellent, but I'd opt for a milled variant. You can get a 7.62x39, 5.45x39 and 5.56x45 from them according to your preferences and with decent ammo (not 50+ year old surplus), you can get great results.

I had one of their SA M-7 rifles that I foolishly parted with a while back and I am still kicking myself for it (It had to go to help pay for my MSG-90 clone). I still have an SLR-106FR (5.56) that I love that is as accurate as an AR-15 right out of the box.

Sorry, i guess i should have elaborated.

I very much dislike the Ak47. I dont like the bolt carrier group, the bolt itself, and its furniture set up.

So to avoid anger and bitter hatred on my behalf, i'm avoiding anything resembling a Ak47.

No its more of a universal thing.

I want a 7.62x39 rifle, but i want it to use AK mags, since they are freaking abundant everywhere, in nearly every country.

But i just dont want the gun to have shit tolerances and be made from pot metal stampings.

If you want a match type gun to shoot groups with.. then pass on the 7.62x39. But if you want the best gun that shoots the 7.62x39 then I would buy an Arsenal AK variant.

I also have an Arsenal SA M7 and agree with the above post. The only better one IMO would ne a Poly Tech Ledgend.
