Hunting & Fishing Hog callers

Just wondering if any of you guys have experience with hog callers? Do they work if so which ones?

open fields that they can tear up call them in pretty good. Thermals and Miller delicious go like peas and carrots

Convergent bullet is working really good for me. Sometimes they come running, sometimes takes a while, sometimes they ignore it. Sounds really good with the free Convergent apps.

Thanks @robbf213. With the free app it looks like there is only one call for pigs. Are you using that or are you using the hog pro app that you need to purchase?

Get the Wild Hog Pro app, costs a few bucks but has a bunch of sounds. I think the predator pro was free.

Thanks @robbf213 ill go and try out that wild hog pro app. Have you by chance tried to pair it up with another BT speaker? I have a Bose BT speaker and was thinking it might work with it.

It should, I’ve tried it a another speaker, not Bose quality and it worked ok. The Convergent is nice because it collapses down and has the spinner flag for predators. Works great for crows too.

Display your cracked and duct taped styro cooler in visible area of truck and brag about it. Have more cold PBR in it.

Just be careful of the ones you shoot, later on you may wish they could run off.

We normally scan with thermals and nightvision while on the move. A couple times we did call using an app with hog sounds. I dont know if it was coincidence or the call actually did work, but we were stopped for awhile taking a break and plugged in a phone using an aux cord to the sound system on the Ranger. We didnt turn it too loud to make it sound completely unnatural. But after what seemed like 5 minutes. A few hogs did come into the field.

Thanks guys. so got the app and what yah know put out some feed and used the hog feeding call and in less than 5 min had one walk in. Don’t know if was a coincidence or not just gonna have to keep trying what are your guys go to calls?

Has anyone tried the Foxpro Hog Calls? I know that they have then so you can download then for a fee and install on the Foxpro Caller

I've been the using the foxpro for 'yotes and prairie ponies for a couple of years....It works great with the dogs and have had on and off success with pigs. In Florida, we typically cruise the pastures with the lights off and scan with thermals. When it gets slow, I like the piglet in distress...calls the sows in and periodically a coyote.

I just started using the convergent bullet hp and called in 2 shows within 90 seconds this week. Tried again, called nothing. I think it's a tool that is helpful just like grunting bucks in, but it doesnt always work. But it does work better than HOPING they will walk out of your bean field into the front of your gun. So far I really like using it and think it will be helpful to kill more hogs
